WriteCarrot is a tool for providing writers with continual motivation, affirmation, and dopamine, like a video game. WriteCarrot uses auditory and visual cues.

A writer starts at Level 1 and gains a level for every hundred words they put in the editor. Every level changes the background color. The background color darkens until Level 10, and every level thereafter is a random color. Levels completed show up as boxes. There are timers to utilize as well, a stopwatch and a countdown, to create a sense of urgency for writing sprints.
