Any News?

Not really. Just kinda waiting for school to be over, so that I can take my summer and work, write, read, and have fun.

Looking forward to next year, when I will be living by myself. In a single. No more creative confinement.

If you've been following sports at all, you'll know that Alex Rodriguez of the Yankees has hit 6 home runs in 7 games. I don't dislike the guy, except for when he's facing off against Detroit. If you don't think 6 in 7 is that big of a deal, let me lay it out for you. In 28 at-bats, he's hit 6 home runs. That's one home run every four at bats.

At this point he's on pace to hit 139 home runs, just short of doubling Barry Bonds' mucho controversial 73 home run single season record. Now, no one believes he's going to do anything close to that, (hey, he's A-Rod) but he might shatter Christ Shelton's historic AL home run start...which, I believe was 9 home runs in 13 games. A-Rod has six games to hit three. Can he do it?

Uh. Probably.

EDIT: This is where I'd realize I wrote Chris' name as Christ and go back and fix it, but it made me laugh so I'm leaving it.

He may get 9 in 13 games, but I doubt it. I don't think he'll get any in Oakland this weekend. Once he starts to face good pitching, those numbers will even out and he'll probably hit between 40 and 50 for the season.
