Just Say Oh

Oh dear.

Oh my dear gosh gollykins!

I'm an angry, angry boy. And I'm not even going to get into how the Tigers blew a six run lead with only 4 innings left to play. That's small potatoes. Big small potatoes.

I actually had a decent time playing Ultimate frisbee today. There were like thirty people so we had four groups of six or seven (so not thirty people, but a lot) and we played round robin style - three games so that you had to play every other team at least once.

We won the first game but got beaten badly in the next two. It was fun. Made some new kind of friends. Not as in a new kind of friend, but a new friend, kind of. Jeez, I'm going to shut up. Here's your post, just for post's sake.

FIRST!

I just have to quickly say that if you hadn't noticed, now you can notice.

The Detroit Tigers are in first place in the Major League.

FIRST.

Out of ALL THE TEAMS.

That is all.

Adam Holwerda Reporting

Hey, what's up?

I felt like I should do a news post since it's been almost a month. I find I have a love/hate relationship with Cartoon Violence, but that's OK. I'm happy it exists, but I hate that I don't do enough for it. But you don't care about all that, probably.

I lost my job at the UPS Store under some dubious conditions, so JGOTSPYS will have to end (not that it was particularly going strong or anything). I essentially had dinner with webcartoonist Ryan Estrada at his home in West Bloomfield a week ago, and we talked webcomics and creativity and getting fired. It was a fun day, and I got him to draw me (!!!) in my own copy of his 168 hour comic marathon, PED X-ING. It looks just like me. Only Ryan Estrada-y.

With JGOTSPYS ending, a new webcomic will have to make its debut. Only...WHICH ONE?!?! I'm thinking about it. I've decided it's going to be centered around a character, probably the character I had successfully made a webcomic about last year before my LAPTOP CRASHED AND I LOST ALL OF MY DATA AND WAS TOO FRUSTRATED TO CONTINUE CREATING SAID WEBCOMIC. The reason it all got lost was because I drew it all digitally. Yeah. That'll do it.

My father and I have decided that before our massive Graphic NOVEL project gets underway hardcore (and it's underway right now, it's just on the furthest of several back burners for both of us - which is understandable) that we're going to focus on creating a smaller, more compact and accessible book - of short vignettes and stories based on a selection of portraits. I think much of my income will come from this book in the coming year / two. There's already a fan base there, and I don't really care that I'd be riding my dad's "fame" at this point. The stories will be good and I'm sure many a publisher will see it and note talent. Hopefully.

That's all really for this post.

I AM DOING STAND-UP THIS YEAR. DON'T LET ME FORGET.
